Welcome to the Preventative Maintenance Planning and Training program!￼
Our goal is to provide technical assistance to enhance the safety and the efficiency of maintenance and resources for all transportation service providers.
It is estimated that approximately one-third of Florida’s paratransit agencies perform all of their maintenance in-house with their own mechanics and garage. Approximately one-third of paratransit agencies outsource all of their maintenance to local garages and the remaining one-third use a combination of in-house and outsourced maintenance. The Paratransit Maintenance Consortium offers a forum for technicians, maintenance managers and program Directors to discuss and provide resolution to current or potential maintenance issues. The Preventative Maintenance portion of our program focuses mainly on assisting the agencies who outsource their maintenance or use a combination of in-house and outsourcing. Our services are provided at NO COST to the agency. All work is performed on site at the agency’s convenience in the order that requests are received.
